Synthetic, Wool or Cotton Camping Clothes? Know Which One is What You Need

Last updated on May 30th, 2016 at 12:32 am

It is always best to feel comfortable when you’re in the outdoors so knowing what clothes to pack for
camping is really important.

Bear in mind that synthetic and wool are the best materials to keep you warm when camping in cold
weather, and not cotton. Synthetic material also dries faster which is really handy when your kid gets
wet while crossing a river.

There are a lot of options for synthetic and wool clothes – from underwear, like boxers, to pants. Pants
could also have a zip so you could remove the half of it when it gets warm. It’s a 2‐in‐1 as you need to
bring pants and shorts. You may also want to bring a rain gear; a rain jacket would be great. In sunny or
warm weather, bringing a hat would be wise because it would keep the sun from harming your eyes.

Do not also forget to bring lightweight gloves and little beanies because it could become chilly at night.

A good pair of high socks and sneakers or hiking boots is also essential camping gear. High socks would
protect you from possible ticks. You may also bring several kinds of shoes – hiking shoes, water shoes,
camp booties, and flip flops. Flip flops would make you feel comfortable when you get to camp. It is also
very handy when you need to relieve yourself. What’s more, it is easier to go in and out of the tent if
you’re wearing flip flops. You should also bring lightweight gloves and little beanies because it could
become chilly at night.

Remember to pack light. You don’t need to bring a lot of clothes for changing because you can wear the
same clothes for a couple of days without worrying about fashion.
